Technologies Used:

Isometric

Created by YONEX in 1980, the ISOMETRIC head shape is a unique and evolutionary breakthrough technology in racket design. In conventional rackets, the sweet spot is located where the main strings and cross strings meet. The YONEX ISOMETRIC head shape allows us to increase the number of main and cross strings that meet in the center of the racket to produce a sweet spot which gives a 7% more effective hitting area for you to make match-winning shots.

Nano mesh + Carbon Nanotube

‘Nano mesh + Carbon Nanotube’ is an exclusive structural material inserted into the frame and/or shaft. It significantly increases repulsion power, toughness and impact strength within the racket. By combining carbon nanotube with a resin, the two molecules create a mesh-like construction that delivers a head-light racket, sharper drive shots, improved strength, and faster handling.

New Grommet Pattern

The single-pass grommet hole construction provides more grommet holes for a more high-performance stringing pattern.

Built-in T-Joint

‘NEW’ Built-in T-Joint is manufactured from a special lightweight plastic combined with epoxy resin and foaming agent that enhances quality and performance by increasing the stability of the shuttle on the string bed and through the air.

Aero + Box Frame

The combination of AERO + BOX Frame produces a solid hitting feel and quick swing.

Power Boost Cap

The POWER BOOST CAP combines hard and soft materials to maximize the shaft's bending power without losing stability.

Rotational Generator System

By applying the counterbalance theory, weight is distributed throughout the grip end, frame top and the joint for maximum control. The transition to the next shot can be performed smoothly with rapid succession.

Where is my order shipped from?
  • All orders are shipped from our warehouse located in Schaumburg, IL (suburb of Chicago).
How long will it take for me to receive my order?
  • The delivery time varies. Here are typical deliver times (ground service) to different regions across continental USA:
  • Midwest: 2 - 3 business days
  • East Coast: 3 – 4 business days
  • Southwest: 4 – 5 business days
  • West Coast: 4 – 5 business days
  • We also have expedited (2-day & 3-day) shipping options available for guaranteed delivery.
  • Often advanced players play with 3U rackets for a more solid feel and punch. They prefer rackets with a heavy head and stiff shaft, as they are able to generate lots of power and accuracy in their shots. With quick racket speed, they are able to maneuver the racket for maximum advantage. The Duora Zstrike is one such racket for an advanced player. Great if you are an advanced player, not so much if you are an intermediate player. He or she may not handle the heavier frame and generate the necessary racket swing speed to hit quick shots resulting in mishits and inaccurate shots. An intermediate player might still want a head heavy frame for superior power and a stiff shaft for control but may want a racket with a lighter feel. Enter Astrox 22, the lightest badminton frame yet from Yonex. Possessing the characteristics of an advanced level racket @68 gms, it provides the intermediate player an opportunity to play wristy shots with ease and precision. Strung with the proper string (our recommendation -BG 80 Power or BG 65 Ti), this racket generates excellent power with control. In summary, if you are looking for an advanced level racket with a lighter feel, this is the racket for you. On the other hand, if you prefer a more solid feel, you might want to consider the Astrox 88D, Astrox 99 or even the Duora ZStrike.
